A ocho años de promulgada la Ley Nacional de Salud Mental 26.657/10, se crea en el año 2018 el dispositivo de Psiquiatría Ambulatoria Aguda y Rehabilitación para el abordaje de la urgencia y emergencia en Salud Mental en El Hospital municipal Eva Perón del Partido de Merlo. Para el siguiente trabajo se realizará una breve revisión de las urgencias/emergencias más frecuentes en Salud Mental y el abordaje específico de las más frecuentes. Se presentará un protocolo de actuación en donde se consideran los diagnósticos más frecuentes y las estrategias terapéuticas implementadas, articulado con el Hospital General y en donde participa el Coordinador general de Emergencias y el equipo interdisciplinario y en congruencia con el artículo 28 de la Ley en donde: “Las internaciones de salud mental deben realizarse en hospitales generales. A tal efecto los hospitales de la red pública deben contar con los recursos necesarios”, dando lugar a un proceso de construcción y reflexión sobre el funcionamiento de dicho dispositivo, y visualizando aquellos factores que hacen al mismo en la práctica cotidiana, tales como: el entrecruzamiento de saberes científicos y legales; dilemas éticos, alcances y limitaciones.
