A partir del posicionamiento que concibe a la orientación vocacional (O.V.) como un proceso educativo y preventivo; y a las acciones que se derivan de ella como inscriptas en una postura posparadigmática e interdisciplinaria, cuyo objetivo principal es el desarrollo personal. En el presente trabajo se invita a revisar el lugar y los alcances de las Test de exploración psicológica en el proceso de elección de un proyecto educativo superior. Partiendo de la descripción de diferentes modalidades de intervención que, históricamente, son llevadas a cabo por los profesionales que componen el Departamento de Orientación Vocacional e Información de Empleo (DOVIE) de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata; se avanzará en la presentación de distintos relatos que fueron seleccionados por representar la tendencia que asumirían las demandas que llegan al servicio y que darían cuenta del énfasis, que desde los actores que solicitan orientación, se pondría en las técnicas de evaluación psicológica, evidenciando la existencia, circulación y reforzamiento de ciertas representaciones en relación a las practicas orientadoras, al rol del sujeto y del orientador. Se propone una explicación a esta situación a partir de la teoría de las representaciones sociales y se plantean posibles líneas de investigación. In the present work, we invite you to review the place and scope of the psychological exploration tests in the process of choosing a higher educational project. Starting from the description of different intervention modalities that, historically, are carried out by the professionals belong to the Department of Vocational Guidance and Employment Information (DOVIE) of the National University of Mar del Plata; will advance in the presentation of different stories that were selected to represent the trend that would assume the demands that reach the service and that would account for the emphasis, which from the actors who request guidance, would be put into the techniques of psychological evaluation, evidencing the existence , circulation and reinforcement of certain representations in relation to orienting practices, to the role of the subject and the counselor. An explanation of this situation is proposed based on the theory of social representations and possible lines of research are proposed.
