Desde un marco teórico psicoanalítico que trabaje a la luz de la ética, se irán desplegando las distintas aristas desplegadas en el film Loving Vincent que permiten describir la subjetividad del pintor. A través de una metodología cualitativa, se intentará comprender a los personajes dentro del marco de referencia de ellos mismos para experimentar lo que sienten, lo que deciden y lo que dejan de decidir en sus luchas cotidianas con la sociedad. El objetivo general será indagar en las coordenadas implícitas e inmanentes al acto que lleva a Van Gogh a cometer el suidicio. Van Gogh fue un hombre que trascendió lo normativo y superfluo de lo considerado bello para la época. Tendía a asilarse, es cierto, pero no sin antes percibir la exclusión fehaciente de la sociedad contemporánea a su existencia. El Otro ha revelado sus fallas a través de numerosos otros: la cultura, la sociedad, el mercado burgués, su madre, su padre, amores no correspondidos, su médico psiquiatra. Frente a todos ellos, Vincent percibe la responsabilidad de responder por ellos Vincent para finalmente decidir suicidarse en lugar de caer en manos del enemigo que insistía en rechazarlo. In front of all of them, Vincent perceives the responsibility of answering for them Vincent to finally decide to commit suicide instead of falling into the hands of the enemy who insisted on rejecting him.
