Esta presentación se desprende de una investigación más amplia, PROICO 12- 1218, y tiene como objetivo analizar las representaciones sociales predominantes sobre el estudio y el trabajo en diez ingresantes masculinos de la Licenciatura en Psicología de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis, que conforman la mitad de la muestra de investigación. Vale aclarar, que la muestra total de investigación está conformada por veinte ingresantes (diez varones y diez mujeres), que al momento del ingreso tienen 18 años de edad. En esta presentación se analiza la significación asociada al estudio y al trabajo en la muestra masculina. El diseño de la investigación es descriptivo, interpretativo, con una metodología cualitativa y el instrumento de recolección utilizado es la entrevista en profundidad. Para el análisis de las representaciones se articulan algunos conceptos relevantes del campo de la Psicología de la Orientación. A partir del análisis de las representaciones sociales de estudio y trabajo, se detecta en estos ingresantes que en torno a la significación del “estudio”, se edifica un proyecto significativo de vida y central en su construcción identitaria. Mientras que la significación asociada al “trabajo”, está relacionada con la expectativa de concluir la carrera y ejercer como profesionales de la psicología. It is worth clarifying that the total research sample is made up of twenty entrants (ten men and ten women), who at the time of admission are 18 years old. This presentation analyzes the significance associated with study and work in the male sample. The research design is descriptive, interpretive, with a qualitative methodology and the collection instrument used is the in-depth interview. For the analysis of the representations, some relevant concepts from the field of Guidance Psychology are articulated. From the analysis of the social representations of study and work, it is detected in these entrants that around the meaning of “study”, a significant project of life and central to their identity construction is built. While the significance associated with “work” is related to the expectation of completing the degree and working as professionals in psychology.
