En el marco de la Psicología Institucional se ha llevado a cabo una investigación que profundiza en la problemática de las infancias travesti/trans. Esto se ha podido ejecutar con una entrevista realizada hacia la Asociación Civil Infancias Libres, que, con su gran aporte, se ha logrado abordar y profundizar en dicha temática. La misma atraviesa diferentes instituciones desde un enfoque que incluye la posición del psicólogo en el campo y su implicación en la situación de intervención y/o de investigación. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo invitar a reflexionar desde el análisis de la implicación, el rol profesional del psicólogo y la responsabilidad en la reproducción patologizante sobre las niñeces travesti-trans. Además, lleva a la revisión de aquellas creencias y prácticas institucionalizadas que se han ubicado dentro de una normalidad. Por último, se analiza sobre las exclusiones y violencias que han atravesado a lo largo de la historia, y siguen atravesando hoy, las niñeces travesti-trans. De esta manera, se cuestiona el acompañamiento de dichas infancias desde un lugar de futuras profesionales de la salud mental.
