El presente trabajo abordará una síntesis de resultados provenientes de una investigación exploratoria, descriptiva, observacional, longitudinal, de una díada madre-bebé, e indaga la presencia de cambios en las interacciones protomusicales de la misma. Se recortan avances del análisis de la evolución de dichas interacciones y su uso como reguladoras del estado atencional-emocional del niño, a los fines de analizar su repercusión en el establecimiento de las primeras experiencias de intersubjetividad. A la vez se enfatiza la articulación con conceptualizaciones teóricas acerca de la protomusicalidad durante el primer semestre de vida y el desarrollo cognitivo infantil. La investigación, se emprendió mediante una metodología observacional longitudinal de caso único centrada en el análisis de la interacción adulto-niño y su evolución, en situaciones de interacción natural. El registro de las observaciones se realizó en cintas de vídeo de modo tal que su obtención no dificultara la interacción. La modalidad de participación del investigador fue la de observador no participante. El período observacional ha sido el comprendido entre el segundo mes de vida y los 6 meses del bebé. Palabras clave Protomusicalidad, Díada mamá-bebé Abstract MUSICAND CHILD DEVELOPMENT:PROTOMUSICAL COMPOSITIONS IN THE FIRST HALF OF LIFE This paper will address a synthesis of findings from an exploratory, descriptive, observational and longitudinal investigation, of a mother-infant dyad, and enquires the presence of changes in the protomusical interactions of it. Advances of the analysis of the evolution of these interactions are underlined, as well as their use as regulators of the attentional-emotional state of the child, in order to analyze their impact on the establishment of the first experiences of intersubjectivity. At the same time, the articulation with theoretical conceptualizations about protomusicality during the first half of life and children’s cognitive development are enphasised. The research was undertaken by a longitudinal observational methodology, unique case centered, on the analysis of adult-child interaction and evolution, in natural interaction situations. The records of the observations were made on videotape so that their production did not intervene in the interaction. The modality of participation of the researcher was as an observer. The observational period was between the second and the sixth month of the baby. Key words Protomusicality, Mother-infant dyad
