Diversas investigaciones han identificado que a nivel internacional los jóvenes actualmente piensan que la sociedad es injusta, al mismo tiempo piensan de forma negativa la política. El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar las relaciones entre el compromiso cívico y la conciencia crítica en jóvenes participantes de centros de estudiantes universitarios. Además, se indagó si existen diferencias en el desarrollo de ambos según la militancia política de los participantes. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas, guiadas según el método clínico-crítico piagetiano, a 25 jóvenes, hombres y mujeres, de 19 a 26 años de edad (M=22,72, SD=2,01), residentes en CABA o en Provincia de Buenos Aires, que se involucran en alguna forma de participación en centros de estudiantes universitarios. Para el análisis de las entrevistas, se elaboraron categorías a través del método comparativo constante. Los resultados mostraron que habría una relación entre una conciencia crítica compleja, y un alcance más amplio en el compromiso cívico. Además, dicha relación tendría mayor presencia entre los jóvenes que militan en un partido político que quienes no lo hacen. Palabras clave Compromiso cívico - Conciencia crítica - Jóvenes - Militantes ABSTRACT CRITICAL CONCIOUSNESS AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT OF YOUNG POLITICAL PARTY ACTIVISTS AND NON- ACTIVISTS Several studies have identified that at the international level, young people currently think that society is unjust, and at the same time they think negatively about politics. The objective of the present study is to analyze the relationship between civic engagement and critical consciousness in young participants of university student centers. In addition, it was investigated whether there are differences in the development of both according to the political activism of the participants. Semi-structured interviews, guided according to the Piagetian clinical-critical method, were conducted with 25 young men and women between 19 and 26 years old (M=22.72, SD=2.01), residents of CABA or the Province of Buenos Aires, who are involved in some form of participation in university student centers. For the analysis of the interviews, categories were elaborated through the constant comparative method. The results showed that there would be a relationship between a complex critical consciousness, and a broader scope of civic engagement. Furthermore, this relationship would have a greater presence among young people who belong to a political party than among those who do not.
