Esta presentación plantea la configuración y cristalización de ideas y creencias que orientan la práctica del consumo abusivo de alcohol en adolescentes. La población estuvo conformada por ingresantes (17 a 20 años) a la Facultad de Psicología. Para indagar las representaciones asociadas a los patrones de consumo de alcohol y a los factores de riesgo, se observaron situaciones de consumo, se diseñaron y administraron entrevistas etnográficas y se administró la encuesta CORAL 50. El análisis de datos se encuadró en dos aspectos: cognitivos y afectivos, agregando sub-categorías surgidas del análisis cualitativo de las entrevistas. Se observó, entre los aspectos cognitivos, que la cantidad, es el patrón de consumo asociado a la idea de abuso; algunos consideran que la ocasión modera la práctica. La naturalización genera invisibilidad del riesgo por efecto de la tolerancia. Su uso está orientado a reducir químicamente el conflicto mediante el alivio sintomático momentáneo. Aspectos afectivos: las ideas asociadas a las motivaciones para tomar se tipifican entre: Alcohol-desinhibición. Alcohol- integración social y Alcohol-Autoestima. Se concluye que, uso indebido de alcohol en adolescentes es la resultante de: patrón de consumo (frecuencia semanal y cantidad excesiva) más la creencia: “sin consumo de alcohol divertirse, relacionarse, deshinibirse o pertenecer, desaparece”. The analysis was framed in aspects: cognitive and affective, adding arisen sub-categories of the analysis of the interviews. It was observed, among the cognitive aspects that the quantity is the consumption pattern associated to the idea of abuse; some consider that the occasion moderates the practice. The naturalization generates invisibility of the risk for effect of the tolerance. Their use is guided to reduce the conflict chemically by means of the momentary symptomatic relief. Affective aspects: the ideas associated to the motivations to take classify among: Alcohol-inhibition. Alcohol-social integration and Alcohol-self-esteem. You concludes that, use undue of alcohol in adolescents it is: consumption pattern (weekly frequency and excessive quantity) more the belief: without consumption of alcohol it is not possible to have a good time, to be related, getting loose or to belong.
