Gostaríamos de expor uma particularidade do conceito lacaniano do significante que consideramos, entretanto, fundamental para a plena compreensão de seu ensino. Trata-se da capacidade do aparelho conceitual lacaniano de tematizar o significante como fundamentalmente caracterizado pela reflexividade e, conseqüentemente, de considerar o sistema de significantes, como uma totalidade inconsistente. Nisto residiria a grande força heurística da teoria lacaniana do significante: uma teoria da reflexividade da materialidade do significante. Neste sentido, torna-se mais evidente o motivo pelo qual Lacan interessa-se pela lógica matemática na sequência de seu período mais estruturalista. Que a lógica possa ser dita ciência do real não significa que ela tome por objeto o real, mas que se referindo somente ao seu próprio domínio produza uma série de paradoxos que redefinem o sentido do que seja um sistema simbólico propriamente dito. É por causa deste efeito de produção de autocontradições simbólicas que a lógica pode interessar a Lacan. Palabras clave Lacan Russell Koyré Autorreferência ABSTRACT LACAN, RUSSELL, KOYRÉ AND THE PARADOXES OF SELFREFERENCE We would like to expose a feature of the Lacanian concept of the signifier that we consider, however, essential for full understanding of his teaching. This is the lacanian conceptual apparatus’s ability to analyze the signifier as fundamentally characterized by reflexivity and, consequently, to consider the system of signifiers, as an inconsistent totality. Herein lies the great strength of heuristic Lacanian theory of the signifier: a theory of reflexivity of the materiality of the signifier. In this sense, becomes more evident why Lacan is interested in mathematical logic as a direct consequence of its more structuralist period. That logics could be said a science of the real does not mean it take the real as object, but that in referring to his own domain it produces a series of paradoxes that redefines the meaning of which is a symbolic system itself. It is because of this effect of producing symbolic self-contradictions that logic could be interesting to Lacan. Key words Lacan Russell Koyré Selfreference
