Este trabajo describe parte del proceso de construcción de un instrumento para evaluar las competencias requeridas para investigar. Para el diseño de situaciones de prueba se consideraron los informes de expertos y el modelo Goleman/Boyatzis; que considera tres dimensiones para el análisis de competencias: conocimiento/dominio personal, gestión de relaciones y cognitivas. El objetivo de esta comunicación es presentar items para evaluar la dimensión dominio cognitivo o de razonamiento. La metodología comprendió revisión de antecedentes sobre el constructo y de pruebas que evalúan los constructos elegidos. Del modelo seleccionado (Goleman/Boyatzis, 2004) y de la información obtenida de los expertos se trabajó las competencias de la dimensión cognitiva o de razonamiento, fusionando en un número menor aquellas que con términos diferentes aludían a características semejantes. De los varios factores se escogieron las siguientes competencias: pensamiento analítico (capacidad de entender una situación desagregando los aspectos que la componen), experticia técnica (conocimientos relacionados con el trabajo en sí y su habilidad para aplicarlo y difundirlo) y pensamiento sistémico (habilidad para identificar pautas y relaciones en situaciones complejas). Se redactaron ítems, algunos de opciones múltiples y otros con preguntas abiertas. Posteriormente todos los ítems serán administrados a expertos, para analizar su validez de contenido. Palabras clave Evaluación Competencias Investigación ABSTRACT EVALUATION OF COGNITIVE COMPETITIONS TO INVESTIGATE: TEST SITUATIONS This work describes part of the process of construction of an instrument to evaluate the competitions required to investigate. For the design of test situations they were considered the reports of experts and the Goleman/Boyatzis Model. It considers three dimensions for the analysis of competitions: personal characteristics, relationships abilities and cognitive. The objective of this communication is to present items to evaluate the cognitive dimension. The methodology consisted in the revision of antecedents on the concept and of tests that evaluate the elected ones. Of the choose Model (Goleman/Boyatzis, 2004) and of the obtained information of the experts it was worked the competitions of the cognitive dimension, fusing in a smaller number those that mentioned to similar characteristics with different terms. Of the several factors the following competitions were chosen: analytic thought (capacity to understand a situation analyzing the aspects that are included), technical expertise (knowledge related with the work and their ability to apply it and to communicate it) and systemic thought (ability to identify rules and relationships in complex situations). Items were edited, some of multiple options and others with open questions. Later on all the items will be administered to experts, to analyze their content validity.
