Como objetivo principal se pensarán los procesos psíquicos propios de madres y padres de adolescentes, y cómo estos influyen en lo vincular. Tomando los planteos de P. Gutton, sobre la evolución psíquica deseable de progenitores. El trabajo que deben poder realizar madres y padres será dejarse transformar en objetos inadecuados, en seductores abandonados. Planteará, que la entrada del puber en la genitalidad debería traer aparejada, de manera mítica, la salida de madre y padre, su muerte genital. Reflexionaremos sobre un procedimiento inherente a la psique de madres y padres,en términos más amplio, al proceso de adulto, y que tendría como efecto la desinvestidura edípica del adolescente, según Gutton. La argumentación más relevante, gira en torno a plantear que la adolescencia es un momento que implica a todo el grupo familiar, y que cada integrante de ese grupo, tiene trabajos psíquicos específicos a realizar, tanto madres y padres, como los sujetos adolescentes. Concluiremos, que entendemos que la elaboración saludable de los procesos psíquicos de madres y padres, son fundamentales, no sólo para su propia subjetividad, sino también para facilitar procesos saludables en el sujeto adolescente.
