La Autoestima refiere a las actitudes que toma el sujeto sobre sí mismo (Coopersmith,1967). El Clima Académico (CA) alude a la percepción que los estudiantes tienen sobre el aula (Pérez et. al, 2010). Se analiza el CA y la Autoestima en universitarios según variables demográficas y académicas. Se aplicaron el Self-Esteem Inventory (Coopersmith, 1967), y la Escala de Clima Social de Aula para Universidades (Sánchez y Ortiz, 2015). Participaron 316 estudiantes de Psicología (87.7% mujeres) de entre 19 y 69 años (M=23.41; DE=8.32). Se observaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas según momento de la carrera en las dimensiones de CA entre compañeros y CA General, a favor de los ingresantes. También se verificaron diferencias según grupo etario en Autoestima Personal, General y CA entre compañeros, a favor de los alumnos de mayor edad. Con respecto a la situación laboral se registró una diferencia en Autoestima Personal, Social y General a favor de los estudiantes sin empleo. En las variables CA entre compañeros y CA General la diferencia fue favorable a los alumnos con empleo. Finalmente, se observó un efecto conjunto de la situación laboral y lugar de residencia sobre la relación Estudiante-Profesor. Los resultados se discuten en relación con la teoría. The Academic Climate (AC) refers to the perception that students have about the classroom (Pérez et. al, 2010). We analyze AC and self-esteem in college students according to demographic and academic variables. The SelfEsteem Inventory (Coopersmith, 1967) and the Social Classroom Climate Scale for Universities were applied (Sánchez and Ortiz, 2015). 316 psychology students (87.7% women) between 19 and 69 years old (M=23.41; DE=8.32) participated. Statistically significant differences were observed according to the time of the race in the dimensions of AC between peers and AC General, in favor of the incoming students. Differences in personal, general self-esteem and AC between peers by age group were also observed in favor of older students. With regard to employment status, there was a difference in personal, social and general self-esteem in favour of unemployed students. In the variables AC between peers and AC General the difference was favorable to students with employment. Finally, a joint effect of the employment situation and place of residence on the studentteacher relationship was observed. The results are discussed in relation to the theory.
