El trabajo se propondrá puntualizar las referencias que realiza Jacques Lacan en sus seminarios a los fundamentos aritméticos, filosóficos y matemáticos de Gottlob Frege a fin de constatar que los fundamentos fregeanos también sustentan teóricamente la elaboración teórica de su objeto a y la implicancia que tiene en la constitución del aparato psíquico.
