En el presente trabajo, inscripto en el marco de la investigación UBACyT: “Versiones del padre en el último período de la obra de Jacques Lacan (1971-1981)”, desplegaremos la función del padre articulada al amor y a la castración. Al establecerse la castración real como hecho de estructura, Lacan afirma que la función paterna funda el ejercicio del amor a modo de suplencia de la relación sexual inexistente. Destacando el planteo de Lacan de que se puede prescindir del padre a condición de servirse de él (17, pág. 133), y las incidencias que sobre la dirección de la cura tiene esta afirmación, ubicaremos lo real del padre y la función del semblante, articulando para ello la cita del Seminario 22, donde propone la père-version del padre cómo la “única garantía de su función de padre, la cual es la función de síntoma… Para eso, allí es suficiente que sea un modelo de la función” (16, 21/1/75) Palabras clave Padre, Versión, Goce, Semblante, Amor Abstract LA PÈRE -VERSION A VERSION FOR THE LOVE In the present work, written in the frame of the UBACyT investigation “Versions of the father in the last period of Jacques Lacan works (1971-1981)” we unfold the function of the father related to love and castration. Being established actual castration as a structure fact, Lacan says that the paternal function founds the practice of love as a way of substitution of the inexistent sexual relationship. Putting emphasis on Lacan´s affirmation of dispense with the father in exchange of to take advantage from him (16, p. 133) and the effects that he has in the course of the treatment, we locate the real of the father and the function of the semblant linking for that the citation of Seminar 22 where he proposes the père-version of the father as the “only guarantee of his function as father, which is the function of the symptom…For that, it is enough to be a model of the function”.
