Si bien el sintagma “significante impar” no fue desarrollado por Lacan de manera exhaustiva, sus derivas discursivas se han extendido en la clínica actual. Encontramos que, en algunos autores, el significante fálico, F y el significante de la falta en el Otro, S(?) son categorizados como “impares” dando cuenta de su función como operadores lógicos: habilitan el despliegue de la cadena significante sin formar parte de la misma. Sin embargo, las posiciones al respecto son tan variadas que es difícil establecer un consenso. En la revisión de estas discordancias, nos preguntamos qué otros significantes son tomados por este debate, y si en verdad existe una categoría que los aúne como tal. We found that, in some authors, the Phallus signifier, F and the signifier which is lacking at the level of the Other, S (?) are categorized as “odd”, accounting for their function as logical operators: they enable the deployment of the signifier chain without being a part of it. However, the positions on this matter are so varied that it is difficult to establish a consensus. In reviewing these disagreements, we wonder what other signifiers are taken by this debate, and if there is really a category that brings them together as such.
