El trabajo se enmarca en el proyecto de investigación UBACyT Lectura metodológica de textos: Freud, Lacan (Azaretto-Ros, 2008) y tiene como objetivo general desarrollar una lectura metodológica de los tres registros en psicoanálisis -real, simbólico, imaginario- tal como se presentan en la enseñanza de J. Lacan (1953a, 19741975). Se articulan algunas coordenadas en torno a los tres registros en la enseñanza de Lacan a partir de las nociones de dimensión, variable y función. Se concluye que los tres registros son las variables estructurales del psicoanálisis y que constituyen la función del nudo-RSI.
