Resumen
In the present paper we explore the lack of value of the death, the end of a person’s life, for stoic philosophy, which considers the first one as one of the indifferents or adi´aphora (“dispreferred”) for human happiness. The idea of “fear to the death” as an incorrect sentiment influenced the daily politics of Imperial Rome; we conclude that this circumstance demonstrates the practical and the therapeutic characters of Stoa, school that always seek to extirpate such a fear
