El presente trabajo se propone rastrear el concepto de objeto voz aislado por Lacan como uno de los objetos causa de deseo. Desde su pre-figuración en las indicaciones freudianas hasta los desarrollos últimos de la obra de Lacan. En relación con este objeto situar la actividad musical, indagar qué tipo de vinculación se puede establecer entre música y psicoanálisis. El mismo Lacan en su Seminario XX afirmaba: alguna vez habrá que hablar de la música, al margen” Más él se ocupó fundamentalmente de estudiar la función de la mirada y la obra de arte, los cuadros.Tocará interrogar la cualidad del canto como obra, como obra de arte que permita acallar y hacer soportable el peso del objeto voz.
