En el presente trabajo, abordaremos un enfoque teórico sobre la relación entre Lacan y Levi-Strauss en torno al problema del concepto de estructura y las diferencias que se suscitan en ambos justificadas, fundamentalmente, por sus distintos campos de incumbencia, y el alejamiento progresivo que Lacan fue realizando de la senda estructuralista levi-straussiana. Ello, sin embargo pensamos, nos obliga también a remarcar la deuda que Lacan mantuvo con LeviStrauss y a permitirnos, sobre el final de este recorrido, a matizar algunas caracterizaciones que el psicoanalista francés ha hecho sobre la epistemología de aquel sin tomar en cuenta, quizás, un nivel de apertura mayor que el propio Lacan no habría tomado con mayor consideración.
