En este trabajo intentaré dar cuenta de cómo abordamos desde el psicoanálisis el impacto de la época en los modos de presentación del síntoma. Mi intención es centrar el desarrollo de este escrito en el síntoma, y no tanto en la variedad de manifestaciones que toma actualmente el síntoma. Para esto haré un breve recorrido por las distintas formas que ha tomado y toma el término de actual en la literatura psicoanalítica y también ubicaré el lazo que existe entre el síntoma y la época. En particular me interesa detenerme en el abordaje de lo actual y lo epocal por parte del dispositivo analítico, en tanto nos conduce de modo directo a la dimensión de la causa en juego en el síntoma y su función. In this paper I will try to show how we approach from psychoanalysis the impact of the era on the ways that the symptom presents. My intention is to focus the development of this writing on the symptom, and not so much on the variety of manifestations that the symptom is currently taking. For this I will make a brief tour for the different forms that have taken and take the term of current in the psychoanalytic literature and I will also locate the link that exists between the symptom and the time. In particular, I am interested to focus on the approach of the current and the epochal from the analytical device, insofar as it leads us directly to the dimension of the cause in the symptom and its function.
