El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo delimitar el concepto de “atención flotante” en la obra de Freud. Con tal fin, se realizó un recorrido bibliográfico a lo largo de toda su obra, rastreando dicho concepto. En una primera parte, se detalla el concepto de atención, poniendo énfasis en el problema económico. Luego se plantea la relación entre el “pensar observador” y la “crítica”, mostrando la incidencia de la segunda en la atención y en la emergencia de ocurrencias. La segunda parte, se centra sobre el concepto de atención flotante y los motivos de su implementación, subrayando las dificultades de sostener una escucha sin crítica. Por último, se trata el tema de la comunicación inconciente a inconciente. To achive this, a bibliographic review was made throughout his work, tracking down that concept. In the first part, the concept of “attention” is described in detail, emphasizing in the economic problem it involves. Then the relationship between “observer thinking” and “criticism” is approached, showing the incidence of this second concept on the “attention” and on the emergence of occurrences. The second part focuses on the concept of free-floating attention and the reasons for its implementation, highlighting the difficulties of sustaining a listening without criticism.
