El presente trabajo se enmarca en una investigación más amplia sobre lo femenino y sus transformaciones en las disciplinas psi ; siendo en esta oportunidad el objeto de interés indagar cómo Freud con su método psicoanalítico posibilita, a finales del 1800, alojar todo aquello que la ciencia de su época deja por fuera en la delimitación de su objeto de estudio. Paradigma de ello es su posición frente al padecimiento que la histeria confiesa, donde lejos de objetivar su cuerpo y sus dichos como carentes de verdad, escucha en ellos una verdad singular a ser revelada. Será la clínica con estas mujeres lo que posibilite la invención de un método propio -la asociación libreque inaugure el trabajo con aquello que la ciencia ha rechazado, y a la vez engendrado, es decir el sujeto del inconsciente. Palabras clave Ciencia - Método - Histeria ABSTRACT THE SUBVERSION OF THE FREUDIAN METHOD: FREE ASSOCIATION AND HYSTERIA The present work is part of a wider investigation about the feminine and its transformations in the psi disciplines; being in this opportunity the object of interest to investigate how Freud with his psychoanalytic method makes possible, at the end of 1800, to lodge everything that the science of his time leaves out in the delimitation of his own study’s object. Paradigm of this is his position in front of the suffering that the hysteria confesses, where far from objectifying her body and her sayings as lacking of truth, Freud listens in them a singular truth to be revealed. It will be the clinic with these women that will enable the invention of a method of his own - free association - that inaugurates working with that which science has rejected, and at the same time generated, that is, the subject of unconscious.
