El propósito de este artículo es compartir algunas de las conclusiones a las que se arribó a partir de la revisión crítica de la obra de Sigmund Freud en relación a sus teorizaciones sobre el ideal del yo y superyó de las mujeres, en el desarrollo de mi trabajo de tesis doctoral. Se trató de identificar la incidencia de los mitos, los prejuicios y los estereotipos culturales en su comprensión del psiquismo femenino. El marco teórico desde el cual se realizó la lectura deconstructiva es la articulación entre el psicoanálisis y la perspectiva de género, así como aportes de la filosofía y de la sociología. Se concluye que la incorporación del género como un organizador del psiquismo amplía la comprensión de la subjetividad femenina e implica un cambio metapsicológico. El género condiciona el desarrollo del yo como estructura, así como la modalidad en que evoluciona el sistema ideal del yo-superyó. Desde este vértice el complejo de Edipo es resignificado y se relativiza su valor como eje del desarrollo moral y ético de las mujeres. La noción de un ideal de género femenino y su articulación con el vínculo de apego temprano con la madre, ubica el narcisismo en un estatuto diferente. AN ANALYSIS FROM THE COMBINED PERSPECTIVE OF PSYCHOANALYSIS AND GENDER STUDIES The purpose of this article is to share some of the conclusions of the critical review of Sigmund Freud’s work in relation to his theories about the ideal of the self and superego of women, which is developed in my doctoral thesis. The aim of that review was to identify the incidence of myths, prejudices and cultural stereotypes in Freud’s understanding of the female psyche. The articulation between psychoanalysis and gender perspective, as well as the contributions from philosophy and sociology, were taken as the theoretical bases from which the deconstructive reading was made. The conclusion is that the incorporation of gender as an organizer of the psyche broadens the understanding of female subjectivity and implies a metapsychological change. Gender determines the development of the self as a structure, as well as the mode in which the ideal system of the ego-superego evolves. From this perspective, the Oedipus complex is resignified, and its value is relativized as the axis of the moral and ethical development of women. The notion of an ideal of female gender and its articulation with the bond of early attachment with the mother places narcissism in a different statute.
