El presente trabajo explora noción de reacción terapéutica negativa a partir de la inercia psíquica como límite al trabajo analítico. Aborda la conceptualización freudiana de la reacción terapéutica negativa, más allá del sentido descriptivo. No se tratará solo de una reacción que se presenta cuando un paciente empeora durante el tratamiento en vez de mejorar. Examinaremos la inercia psíquica presente en la necesidad de castigo masoquista que, siendo muda, lleva al sujeto a posiciones complejas cercanas a la inmolación. Siguiendo la lectura de Liliana Baños, el análisis se topa con cierta la necesidad de castigo masoquista, que “intenta borrar la culpa con el sacrificio del sujeto, no del objeto” (Baños & Steinberg, 2012, 37). En esta línea, se presenta a la reacción terapéutica negativa como una resistencia mayor en la cual el triunfo del superyó, llega a convertirse en uno de los mayores obstáculos al tratamiento, cuyo paradigma extremo es la melancolía, pero que revela algo presente en cualquier cura. Las ideas exploradas en este escrito, se encuadran en el Proyecto de investigación acreditado por la Secretaria de Ciencia y Técnica de la UNLP titulado “Clínica de la reacción terapéutica negativa en psicoanálisis: resortes, estructura, ética” (S074). It addresses the Freudian conceptualization of the negative therapeutic reaction, beyond the descriptive sense. It will not be just a reaction that occurs when a patient gets worse during treatment instead of better. We will examine the psychic inertia present in the need for masochistic punishment which, being mute, leads the subject to complex positions close to immolation. Following the reading of Liliana Baños, the analysis runs into a certain need for masochistic punishment, which “attempts to erase guilt with the sacrifice of the subject, not the object” (Baños & Steinberg, 2012, 37). In this line, the negative therapeutic reaction is presented as a major resistance in which the triumph of the superego becomes one of the greatest obstacles to treatment, whose extreme paradigm is melancholy, but which reveals something present in any cure. The ideas explored in this paper are part of the research project accredited by the Secretary of Science and Technology of the UNLP entitled “Clinic of negative therapeutic reaction in psychoanalysis: springs, structure, ethics” (S074).
