Se exponen resultados de un relevamiento sobre aspectos predominantemente cuantitativos de la psicología en Argentina que se viene realizando desde 1993, que se actualiza en forma permanente y se publica en forma periódica, y del cuál se presentan los resultados obtenidos hasta 2005, sobre la distribución geográfica y ocupacional de los psicólogos. Se presentan las tablas y gráficos correspondientes a la distribución geográfica, y la relación habitantes por profesional en todo el país, de los 51200 profesionales de la psicología detectados en el relevamiento, así como la proporción de género, que es femenino en un 85%. La información consignada incluye las estimaciones conseguidas acerca de la distribución ocupacional en el ámbito público y/o privado, y por áreas de actividad según que la desarrollen en el campo clínico, educacional, laboral, forense, social, comunitario y otros. Se establecen relaciones con la información obtenida en otra parte del relevamiento referida a la formación universitaria de psicólogos que hasta el 2005 produjo 62760 profesionales. This survey, which has been conducted since 1993, is being permanently updated andperiodicallypublished.Theresultsshowingthegeographical and occupational distribution of psychologists until the year 2005 are presented here. The charts and graphics provided show the geographical distribution and the relation of inhabitants per psychologist in the whole country, of the 51200 psychology professionals detected in the survey, as well as the gender proportion, which is feminine by 85%. The information includes the resulting estimates regarding the occupational distribution in the public and/or private environment and by areas of activity depending on whether it is developed in the clinical, educational, occupational, forensic, social, communal and other fields. Relations are established with the information obtained in another part of the research referring to university training of psychologists, that has produced 62760 professionals until 2005.
