El objetivo de esta investigación, será el de investigar y trazar un perfil de la población que acude a las consultas de urgencia con perturbaciones psíquicas en un hospital general del conurbano bonaerense con la finalidad de establecer el tipo de patología y características de la población consultante que permitan en un futuro trazar estrategias para la prevención y promoción de la salud mental. The main objective of this research, is to study the population that required Emergency assistance, because of a mental disorder, at a suburban General Hospital of Buenos Aires city. The investigation will focus on types of psycopathology disorders, and socio-demographic factors of the consulting population. The main aim of the present study is to provide new data for Mental Health policy decision-makers and healthworkers in order to develop better strategies for prevention, promotion and treatment of mental health problems.
