El presente trabajo apunta a examinar si en el momento de elaboración del concepto de recuerdo encubridor, Freud produce ideas -explícitas o no- que luego estarán presentes al elaborar la noción de realidad psíquica. Se tomó en cuenta, fundamentalmente, el texto freudiano “Sobre los recuerdos encubridores” de 1899, y algunas definiciones de Laplanche y Pontalis acerca de ambas nociones. Para realizar lo propuesto se consideraron tres ejes, los cuales son: la selección de los recuerdos, la infidelidad de los recuerdos, y la retroacción. Mediante ellos se realizó una lectura del escrito de 1899 que muestra que, efectivamente, en ese momento el autor produce ciertos indicios que posteriormente reaparecerán al elaborar la noción de realidad psíquica. Palabras clave Recuerdo Realidad Selección Infidelidad ABSTRACT AN INTERPRETATION OF THE CONCEPT OF “SCREENMEMORY” BY FREUD TO CONSIDER THE NOTION OF “PSYCHICAL REALITY” This work aims at examining whether at the moment of creation of the concept of “screen-memory”, Freud introduced ideas that would become useful a few years later when he discussed the notion of “psychical reality”. We have considered, fundamentally, the text “On screen-memory” by Freud -written in 1899-, and also some definitions by Laplanche and Pontalis of the above mentioned notions. To achieve the purpose of this work, three points were considered. They are: the selection of memory, the infidelity of memory, and deffered action. With these in mind, an interpretation of the work of 1899 indicates that, indeed, the author generated -at that moment- some preliminary ideas that he would take into account when elaborating the notion of psychical reality.
