El siguiente trabajo desarrollará brevemente ciertos conceptos teóricos incluidos en el “PROYECTO ARTE Y REHABILITACIÓN: sistematización de los trabajos realizados hasta hoy en rehabilitación mediante técnicas derivadas del arte en pacientes psiquiátricos del Uruguay”. En este se mostró imperativa la problematización de ciertos temas, tales como el de la rehabilitación, el lugar de la expresión artística en la formación del sujeto, la salud y su estatuto sociocultural. En esta oportunidad desarrollaremos el problema de la salud y la enfermedad mental a través de diversas propuestas elaboradas a lo largo del siglo XX, que relativizaron dicho eje, permitiendo un abordaje desde perspectivas alternativas, que bien pueden desembarazarnos de ciertos prejuicios, así como fomentar nuevas estrategias que descentralicen el modelo médico hegemónico vigente en Uruguay. Comenzaremos con la antropología cultural norteamericana encabezada por Franz Boas, Margaret Mead y Ruth Benedict, para proseguir con la antipsiquiatría europea y la filosofía francesa de los 60. Por último nos gustaría desarrollar brevemente algunas propuestas del filósofo uruguayo Sandino Nuñez, quien nos ha brindado herramientas útiles para pensar el valor de la subjetividad en la sociedad actual. Palabras clave Salud mental Antropología Psiquiatría Subjetividad ABSTRACT CONCEPTIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH FROM AN INTERDISCIPLINARY PERSPECTIVE The following work will briefly develop certain theoretical concepts of the “ART AND REHABILITATION PROJECT: systematization of the works in rehabilitation which use techniques derived form art in psychiatric patients in Uruguay, until today”. In this project was imperative the treatment of certain subjects, such as the rehabilitation, the place of the artistic expression in the formation of the subject, the health and its sociocultural statute. In this opportunity we will develop the problem of the health and the mental disease through diverse perspectives elaborated in the twentieth century, which relativized this axis, allowing us to analize it from a different perspective, free of certain prejudices, as well as to foment new strategies that descentralize the effective hegemonic medical model in Uruguay. We will begin with the North American cultural anthropology, headed by Franz Boas, Margaret Mead and Ruth Benedict, to continue with european antipsychiatry and the French philosophy of the 60. Finally we would like to briefly develop some proposals of uruguay philosopher Sandino Nuñez, who has offered useful tools to think the value of the subjectivity processes in the present society.
