El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las características principales de un proyecto de investigación, aprobado por el Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET), en el marco de una beca doctoral (1). Dicha investigación está destinada a caracterizar el perfil de lectura y escritura que presentan los alumnos a la finalización de la EPB (6º año) y a la finalización de la ESB (9º año) (2), con el propósito de identificar la presencia/ausencia de incremento significativo en el desempeño en las dos variables consideradas. Se trata de un estudio no experimental, longitudinal de panel en el que se evaluarán 50 alumnos de rendimiento término medio, sin dificultades de aprendizaje detectadas, al término de los trayectos formativos seleccionados. Se utilizarán pruebas de lectura y escritura, tipificadas y no tipificadas. Las mismas serán seleccionadas, adaptadas y/o elaboradas para examinar los aspectos vinculados con los objetivos y contenidos curriculares correspondientes a los niveles educativos bajo estudio. A la finalización de la investigación se espera que los resultados obtenidos puedan contribuir al diseño de estrategias de intervención específicas que redunden en beneficio de una alfabetización exitosa. THE IMPACT OF THE YEARS OF SCHOOLING: PRELIMINARY PRESENTATION The objective of this work is to present the main characteristicses of a project of investigation, approved by the National Council of Scientific and Technical researches (CONICET), within the framework of a doctoral scholarship. This investigation is destined to characterize the profile of reading and writing that the students to the conclusion of the EPB (6º year) and to the conclusion of the ESB (9º year) present, in order to identify the present/absent of significant increase in the performance in the two considered variables. It´s a non experimental, longitudinal study of panel, that is to say, 50 students of yield will evaluate themselves average term, without detected difficulties of learning, at the end of the selected formativos passages. Tests of reading and writing will be used, standard and not standard. The same ones will be selected, adapted and/or elaborated to examine the tie aspects with the objectives and curricular contents corresponding to the educative levels under study. To the conclusion of the investigation one hopes that the obtained results can contribute to the design of specific strategies of intervention that result in benefit of a successful alphabetization.
