En este trabajo se examinarán las habilidades y conocimientos prelectores, por su implicancia para la intervención psicopedagógica en la alfabetización formal. Para ello se ha realizado una investigación descriptiva, en 84 niños de 5/6 años de edad, que concurren a tres salas de jardín de infantes en el mismo establecimiento educativo. Se utilizó como instrumento de evaluación una prueba de screening, que examina los conocimientos sobre el lenguaje escrito y las habilidades de escritura emergente y conciencia fonológica (Get Ready to Read!, Whiterhurst & Lonigan, 2003, adaptada al español). Su objetivo fue identificar cómo se encuentran los sujetos examinados en el camino hacia la alfabetización respecto de las variables seleccionadas y si existen casos que necesitan de intervenciones específicas. Los resultados han permitido categorizar el desempeño infantil según el grado de dominio alcanzado e identificar las áreas en las que debe ponerse énfasis en las estrategias de enseñanza a implementar para optimizarlo. ITS INVOLVE FOR PSYCHOPEDAGOGICAL INTERVENTION In this work the prereading abilities and knowledge will be examined, by their involve for the psychopedagogical intervention in the formal literacy. For it a descriptive investigation has been made, in 84 children of 5/6 years of age, that concur to three sections of kindergarten in the same educative establishment. A test of screening was used like evaluation instrument, that it examines the knowledge on the written language and the abilities of emergent writting and phonological awareness (Get Ready to Read, Whiterhurst &m Lonigan, 2003, adapted the Spanish). Its objective was to identify how are the subjects examined in the way towards the literacy respect to the selected variables and if cases exist that need specific interventions. The results have allowed to categorizer the infantile performance according to the degree of reached dominion and to identify the areas in which emphasis in the teaching strategies must be put to implement to optimize it.
