El estudio está inserto en un programa de investigación acerca de la problemática del burnout en relación con diferentes contextos laborales. El objetivo fue observar la implicancia entre representaciones sociales acerca del quehacer docente, aspectos organizacionales y síntomas físicos, psíquicos y sociales que caracterizan al síndrome, a la luz de los aportes teóricos que contribuyen con el análisis del problema. La muestra se compuso por docentes de tres carreras de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNCuyo, quienes además, en su gran mayoría, trabajan en escuelas pertenecientes a EGB3 y Polimodal. Se utilizó metodología cuanti-cualitativa: entrevistas en profundidad y cuestionarios específicos. El proyecto reveló la complejidad de las instituciones educativas en la actualidad. Los hechos institucionales mostraron la presencia de significaciones que atraviesan distintas dimensiones; la organización que establece normas compartidas en el gran grupo, las que encuentran lugar en el ámbito de las representaciones colectivas de los docentes y de la comunidad misma (Fernández, 1998). El desgaste de las expectativas (Abraham, 1987) favorece fundamentalmente para la aparición de síntomas propios de la “quemazón profesional”. Los resultados serán volcados a esferas de decisión para la prevención y apoyo dentro del medio educativo. The objective was to observe the relation between social representations about the educational chore, organizational aspects and physical, psychic and social symptoms that characterize to the syndrome, of agreement with the theoretical contributions that they analyze it. The county-qualitative methodology was used: interviews in depth and specific questionnaires. The Project revealed the complexity of the educational institutions at the present time. The institutional facts showed the presence of connotations which penetrate different dimensions; the organization establishes shared norms in the great group, which take place in the collective representations of the teachers and the own community (Fernández, 1998). Theexpectativeswasting(Abraham,1987)favorsfundamentally the appearance of symptoms characteristic of the professional burnout.
