Este Trabajo tiene por objetivo describir las representaciones sociales sobre el concepto de derecho a la atención de la salud de un grupo de mujeres por debajo de la línea de pobreza. La estrategia metodológica fue cualitativa y dentro de esta se seleccionó, con el fin de construir teoría a partir de las representaciones, la “Teoría Fundamentada” (Grounded Theory) (Strauss, A. y Corvin, J.; 2002). Principales Resultados: Las representaciones de este grupo de mujeres, presentan diferencias sustantivas entre ideas y referencia a las prácticas. Entre las ideas se entrelazan discursos propios de otras décadas, ideas sobre el Estado, modelos de vinculo entre Estado, mujer y pobreza, conceptos de “hospital” y de su finalidad, que son la base de prácticas de utilización de servicios específicos. Algunas de estas ideas surgidas de sus discursos constituyen obstáculos simbólicos para la accesibilidad a los servicios de salud, es decir, tendrían repercusión negativa en las prácticas y sería necesario revertir en función de garantizar el derecho a la atención de la salud conforme a la garantía constitucional actual . The methodological strategy was qualitative. It was selected the “Grounded Theory” (Strauss, To and Corvin, J.; 2002) with the purpose of constructing theory. Main results: In the representations of this women group there are substantive differences between ideas and practices. The ideas combine discourses of another decades, ideas about the State and about the relationship between state-women and poverty. There are also concepts of “hospital”. All these ideas are de basement of their practices and use of the health services. Some of this ideas are symbolic barriers for the health services accessibility. They have a negative influence in the practices and it is necessary to change them in order to guarantee the right to health attention as it is established in the National Constitution.
