El propósito de este estudio es evaluar el efecto de priming gustativo según el reconocimiento de los estímulos en condición de codificación superficial, y comparar los resultados con la memoria explícita. Participaron 33 sujetos cuya edad promedio fue de 23,55 años (de=6,06 años). Los resultados mostraron que los participantes tuvieron un mejor reconocimiento de los estímulos gustativos estudiados en comparación con los estímulos nuevos. Estos datos sugieren un proceso de facilitación en el reconocimiento de los estímulos estudiados, esto es, un efecto de priming gustativo. La cantidad de estímulos recuperados en la tarea de recuerdo libre fue menor al número total de estímulos presentados en el experimento. Los resultados recomiendan investigar el efecto de priming del gusto en condición de codificación profunda, y comparar los resultados con la memoria explícita. Palabras clave Priming Memoria Explícita Gusto ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF GUSTATIVE PRIMING IN CONDITION OF SUPERFICIAL CODIFICATION The aim of this study is to evaluate the gustative priming according to the recognition of the stimuli in condition of superficial codification, and to compare the results with the explicit memory. 33 subjects participated whose age average was of 23.55 years (DE=6.06 years). The results showed that the participants had a better recognition of the studied gustative stimuli in comparison with the new gustative stimuli. These data suggest a process of facilitation in the recognition of the studied stimuli, this is, an effect of gustative priming. The amount of stimuli recovered in the task of free memory was smaller than the total number of stimuli presented in the experiment.
