Este trabajo intenta mostrar los momentos centrales de un análisis de un niño que padecía una enfermedad grave como la Diabetes Mellitus. Se abordaran las dificultades respecto a la dirección de la cura. El momento de su desencadenamiento y circunstancias en la vida de este niño. Según se pudo precisar Iván expresaba un deseo de no vivir análogo al de que el no existiera respecto del deseo sus padres. Se puntualizaran intervenciones tanto con el niño y su familia, tendiendo a generar una separación respecto de este deseo. Dicha problemática puso en alerta el sistema judicial, junto al que se trabajo, con el fin de poner un límite al goce expresado en su deseo de muerte. Para concluir se hará referencia a nuestro posicionamiento ético como psicoanalistas y al limite de nuestras intervenciones en el trabajo con niños. IVAN’S CASE: PARTICULARITIES OF A DEATH DESIRE.” This paper aims to show the key moments of the analysis of a child who suffered from a serious illness such as Diabetes Mellitus. Difficulties to the direction of the cure will be addressed; the time of the onset and the circumstances in the life of this child. As it could be seen, Iván expressed a desire not to live similar to that there was no desire on his parents. Interventions will be spelt out both with the child and the family, trying to create a separation from this desire. Such separation took greater character due to the emergence of puberty where positioning is decided according to the enjoyment of a subject’s desire. This issue has alerted the judicial system,which has also contributed in order to set a limit to the intention expressed regarding his desire for death. As a conclusion, we will refer to our ethical positioning as psychoanalysts and to our limitations in the interventions when working with children. Key Words Abuse, Psychoanalysis, Children, Diabetes
