A partir de las conceptualizaciones psicoanalíticas de Sigmund Freud y Jacques Lacan, se desprende una distinción fundamental entre los seres humanos y el resto de los seres vivos, consistente en los efectos que el lenguaje genera en nuestra vida, en tanto síntomas que no se presentan en otras especies, por lo que no pueden abordarse desde la biología. Puede pensarse, entonces, al lenguaje como un elemento disruptor del orden de la naturaleza, ajeno al hombre (en palabras de Lacan). Se intentará considerar, desde este trabajo, la noción que ambos autores poseen respecto a la vida animal y humana, con las semejanzas y diferencias que esto pueda implicar. Se trabajarán a tal efecto los textos “El malestar en la cultura” y “Más allá del principio del placer” en Freud y el “Seminario 2: El yo en la teoría de Freud y en la técnica psicoanalítica” de Lacan. De dicho análisis se plantea el interrogante de si existe un nexo en común con otras especies o si, por el contrario, el lenguaje resulta una barrera infranqueable entre nosotros y los animales no-humanos. Palabras Clave Lenguaje, Trieb, Animales, Hombre Abstract PSYCHOANALYTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION REGARDING THE SITUATION OF MAN AND ANIMAL Based on Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalytic conceptualizations, a fundamental distinction between human beings and the rest of living beings can be inferred, which consists on the effects that language has in our lives - some symptoms that are not found in other species, and consequently cannot be approached from a biologic point of view. Language can be considered an element which disrupts the natural order, outside the sphere of man (according to Lacan). On this project, we will take into consideration the notions which both authors have regarding human and animal life, with the similarities and differences that this might entail. To that end, we will work with the following texts: Sigmund Freud’s Civilization and its discontent and Beyond the Pleasure Principle, and Lacan’s Book II: The Ego in Freud’s Theory and in the Technique of Psychoanalysis. From this analysis we address the question of whether there exists a connection with other species or if, rather, language becomes too great a barrier between us and non-human animals.
