Si creemos que la libertad de elegir tiene que ver con elegir entre el bien y el mal perdemos de vista lo verdaderamente esencial, la profunda herida que la propia ley del lenguaje introduce al forzar una elección: la posibilidad angustiosa de elegir. Que se pueda elegir es la consecuencia de que ya no hay un Otro completo que garantice el acceso directo al objeto de la necesidad; por el contrario, que se pueda elegir implica que no hay el objeto, el complemento ideal. Se hace forzosamente necesaria, entonces, una toma de posición subjetiva frente a la posibilidad angustiosa de elegir o, también podríamos decir, frente a la castración del Otro. Nuestra vida cotidiana, nuestra participación en el lazo social, implica necesariamente un no querer saber nada de la castración. En este sentido, es el discurso común y corriente, con sus significaciones estables compartidas por todos y ordenadoras de los lazos, el que funciona como pantalla, como protección contra el encuentro traumático con la posibilidad angustiosa. Pero, esta posibilidad es estructural, por lo cual, no hay más remedio que elegir; en este sentido, el solo hecho de estar en el discurso ya es una respuesta subjetiva frente a lo estructural, ya es una elección. Palabras Clave Elección, Discurso, Ser, Goce Abstract THE CHOICE OF “YE NE PENSE PAS” AS A STRUCTURING OF THE SOCIAL LINK If we think that the possibility of choosing has to do with choosing either good or bad, we loose sight of what it is really essential, the deep wound that the proper rule of language introduces when forcing an election: the anguishing possibility of choosing. The fact that we can choose is the consequence that there is no complete Other any more that guarantees the direct access to the object of necessity, on the contrary, the fact that we can choose implies that there is no object, the ideal complement. It is necessary, then a subjective point of view in front of the anguishing possibility of choosing, or we can also say in front of the castration of the Other. Our daily life, our participation in the social ties, imply necessarily not wanting to know anything with castration. In this sense, it is the common and current discourse with its stable significancies shared by everybody and ordered by those ties,the one that functions as a screen, as a protection against the traumatic meeting with the anguishing possibility. This possibility is structural. The only fact of being in the discourse is just a subjective answer in front of the structural. Key Words Choosing, Discourse, Being, Enjoyment
