La creencia en un mundo justo (CMJ) afirma que el mundo es un lugar en el que las personas obtienen lo que merecen. Esta creencia opera negando las injusticias, naturalizándolas o culpabilizando a las víctimas. Diversos autores sostienen que quienes adhieren a ésta creencia son en su mayoría personas religiosas debido a que en su base ambas creencias funcionan de modo tal que contribuyen a la adaptación de personas en circunstancias difíciles. Existen sin embargo diferentes posturas en torno a las relaciones existentes entre religión y CMJ, por lo tanto el objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar la relación entre la CMJ y la creencia en determinadas religiones o la espiritualidad en una muestra de (N=404) estudiantes universitarios de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la CMJ no se relaciona con la adscripción a la religión católica pero sí con la espiritualidad. Se concluye entonces que esto se debe a las características inherentes de la CMJ, el Catolicismo y la espiritualidad. Palabras Clave Mundo justo Religión Espiritualidad Abstract BELIEF IN A JUST WORLD, RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ASSESSMENT. The belief in a just world (BJW) states that the world is a place where people get what they deserve. This belief operates denying injustice, becomeing naturalized or blaming the victims. Several authors argue that those who adhere to this belief are mostly religious people because both beliefs in its basis works in ways that contribute to the adaptation of people in difficult circumstances. However, there are different points of view about the relationship between religion and BJW,therefore the main objective of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the BJW and the belief in different religions or spirituality in a sample of (N = 404) college students from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The results obtained indicate that the BJW is not related to the attachment to the Catholic religion but it is related with spirituality. It is concluded that this is due to the characteristics of the BJW, Catholicism and spirituality. Key Words Just world Religion Spirituality
