El presente trabajo pretende tomar las distintas versiones que adopta el significante del amor en la obra de Lacan para indagar, a partir de las diversas y sustanciales innovaciones que aportó a la concepción del amor en Freud, una nueva teoría del amor la cual permitirá leer el encuentro sexual contemporáneo. Para lograrlo serán necesarios recurrir a los tres registros lacanianos: de lo imaginario en el amor, partiendo desde la imagen del cuerpo y la construcción de la imagen narcisista del sujeto—, de lo simbólico en el amor —del Edipo, el don y el velo— y, de lo real en el amor en su más allá y el goce. Palabras clave Amor, Falo, Castración, Ser ABSTRACT LOVE BEYOND PHALLUS The present work intends to take the different versions that the signifier of the love adopts in the work of Lacan to investigate, from the diverse and substantial innovations that contributed to the conception of the love in Freud, a new theory of the love which will allow to read the contemporary sexual encounter. In order to achieve this, it will be necessary to resort to the three Lacanian registers: from the imaginary in love, starting from the image of the body and the construction of the narcissistic image of the subject, the symbolic in love -of the Oedipus, the gift and the veil - and, the Real in the love in its afterlife and the enjoyment.
