Tanto Freud como Lacan piensan la sexuación poniendo un sexo en relación al otro, es decir no podemos dejar de lado la condición de amor que los vincula ni la orientación sexual en la elección del partenaire. Esto parece eludirse en los testimonios que se orientan sólo por el género, lo que deja el futuro del sujeto, tratándose de niños, en suspenso y sin recursos respecto a la elección de goce, que se plantea acuciante en la pubertad y más allá. La ciencia ofrece frenar el desarrollo y luego operar. En Argentina, la ley de identidad de género del 2012 ha modificado potencialmente las soluciones que se ofrecen a los niños y niñas ante las dificultades y sufrimientos, a veces extremos, que conllevan para estos y sus familias la asunción del sexo de nacimiento. En algunos casos se producen catástrofes subjetivas. Tomaremos tres casos, David, Nanci y Lulú como ejemplos para aportar luego algunas reflexiones para continuar investigando.
