El artículo desarrolla como el juego y el jugar produce cambios en la estructura subjetiva. Incluso, si la intervención es temprana y rigurosa, puede modificarse la misma en perturbaciones graves del desarrollo como es el autismo, apuntando a la constitución de un sujeto, allí donde no lo hay. Se abordarán conceptos nodales del psicoanálisis como la entrada/rechazo del Otro Primordial en los primeros tiempos de constitución subjetiva, el efecto de las primeras identificaciones primordiales, el significante que hace entrada y marca, pero no de un solo golpe y en un solo tiempo, el juego y el jugar, entre otros. Se analizarán dichos conceptos a través de un capítulo de la serie Dr. House donde recibe en el hospital un niño diagnosticado con autismo grave.
