El presente trabajo se propone analizar la práctica profesional del psicólogo en el primer nivel de atención del partido de La Plata. El objetivo es relevar y estudiar los discursos sobre las prácticas para entender el sentido de las mismas y si se adecuan o no a los marcos normativos vigentes. Para esto se analizan entrevistas semi-dirigidas y Cuestionario de Modelos Mentales. La actividad, como unidad de análisis, se retoma en este trabajo para el abordaje del material empírico. En este marco se busca también indagar los modelos mentales que los psicólogos construyen acerca de su actividad. La categoría modelos mentales refiere a una representación psicológica de situaciones reales o hipotéticas; apunta a que las personas construyen modelos a escala reducida de la realidad para comprender, explicar y anticipar eventos. Surge del análisis ciertas limitaciones en este trabajo: falta de trabajo interdisciplinar, inadecuada formación de grado y limitaciones edilicias y de recursos humanos con los que cuentan los CAPS. Por otro lado se observa como ante una situación problema estos mismos equipos logran superar ciertas barreras. La Teoría de la Actividad nos permite observar el fenómeno en su complejidad y poder pensar estas tensiones como un motor para el cambio. Palabras clave APS, Salud Mental, Psicología Comunitaria, Teoría de la Actividad ABSTRACT MENTAL HEALTH IN THE FIRST LEVEL OF CARE, LA PLATA MUNICIPALITY The aim of this article is to analyze the professional practice of the psychologist in the first level of care in La Plata. The objective is to relieve and study the discourses on practices in order to understand the meaning and if they conform to the existing frameworks or not. For this it is analyze semi-directed interviews and Questionnaire of Mental Models performed to psychologists. The activity, as unit of analysis, is taken up in this work for the approach of the empirical material. In this context, it is also sought to investigate the mental models that psychologists construct about their activity.The category mental models refers to a psychological representation of real or hypothetical situations; suggests that people construct small-scale models of reality to understand, explain, and anticipate events. The analysis shows certain limitations: lack of interdisciplinary work, inadequate degree studies, non adecuate infrastructure and low human recourses. On the other hand, Mental Models Questionnaire shows how in front a “problem situation” these psychologists and these teams manage to overcome certain barriers. The Theory of Activity allows us to observe the phenomenon in its complexity and to think in these tensions as an engine for change.
