Desde la Teoría Estructural de las Representaciones Sociales (RS), Abric (2001) plantea que el análisis de una representación, y su compresión, requieren identificar su contenido y estructura. De esta manera, una RS está conformada por un núcleo central, cuya determinación es social, asociada a las condiciones históricas e ideológicas, y por un sistema periférico cuya determinación es más individual. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar las principales ideas y figuras que surgen a la hora de evocar la guerra de Malvinas. El estudio es exploratorio descriptivo de diseño no experimental transversal con una muestra intencional compuesta por 233 estudiantes universitarios del Colegio Militar de la Nación (hombres 67,8%; edad=21,75, SD=2,39, Min:18–Máx28). Los Resultados preliminares muestran que la estructura representacional está compuesta por evocaciones tales como héroes, patria, valor, orgullo, sacrifico y recuperación y figuras como Estévez, Cisneros, Galtieri y Seineldin, que son específicos del ámbito castrense. El ámbito castrense en el que están insertos los participantes se vuelve relevante para este grupo social a la hora de percibir e interpretar la realidad, haciendo saliente su identidad social asociada a ser estudiantes en una institución militar. In this way, a SR is made up of a central nucleus, whose determination is social, associated to historical and ideological conditions, and by a peripheral system whose determination is more individualized. The objective of this work is to analyze the main ideas and characters that emerge when evoking Malvinas´ war. It is an exploratory descriptive study of transverse non-experimental design, with an intentional sample of 233 university students from the Argentinean Military School (67, 8% men, 32,2% women, age = 21.75, SD = 2.39, Min: 18-Max 28). Preliminary results show that the representational structure is composed of evocations such as heroes, homeland, value, pride, sacrifice and recovery, and characters such as Estévez, Cisneros, Galtieri and Seineldin, which are specific to the military sphere. The military field where the participants are inserted becomes relevant to this social group at the time to perceiving and interpreting reality, highlighting their social identity associated with being students in a military institution.
