Existe un consenso general en cuanto a la importancia de la intervención temprana frente a sucesos potencialmente traumáticos para prevenir la instalación de trastornos psiquiátricos. El trauma, en tanto desborda las capacidades del individuo para tramitarlo adecuadamente, podría generar por dicha razón, diversos trastornos psiquiátricos, ya sea en los afectados directos como en el personal que asiste. En el presente trabajo, se describen abordajes en la fase aguda, un abordaje psicosocial de las catástrofes desde un concepto de salud integral (Ascaini et al 2016) y se describen las técnicas de defusing y debriefing, desarrollados por Jeffrey Mitchel (1983), puntualizando sus características, objetivos y fases. También se incluyen los aportes psicodinámicos de Bessoles (2006) a dichas técnicas. A su vez se subraya la importancia del cuidado y de la formación del personal que asiste. Palabras clave Trauma, Intervenciones, Defusing, Debriefing ABSTRACT EARLY POST TRAUMATIC INTERVENTIONS There is general agreement on the importance of early intervention for potentially traumatic events to prevent the onset of psychiatric disorders. Trauma, insofar as it exceeds the individual’s capacity to handle it adequately, could generate for this reason, various psychiatric disorders, both in the directly affected person and in the assisting personnel. In the present work, we describe approaches that can be applied in the acute phase, a psychosocial approach to catastrophes from a comprehensive health concept (Ascaini et al 2016) and the defusing and debriefing techniques developed by Jeffrey Mitchel (1983), specifying their characteristics, objectives and phases.The psychodynamic contributions of Bessoles (2006) to these techniques will be also included.
