El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la relación entre los años de educación materna, la cantidad de libros en el hogar, el nivel inicial escolar y las actividades extraescolares -como medidas del nivel socioeconómico, educativo y ambiental- con la producción cognitiva del WISC-IV. Se trabajó con 100 niños de 6 a 12 años que asisten a escuelas públicas en la ciudad de San Luis (Argentina). Se implementó una encuesta sociodemográfica y el WISC-IV. Resultados: Se encontraron asociaciones entre el nivel educativo de la madre y la producción en ICV. IRP. IMO y CIT de sus hijos. Además, se encontraron diferencias significativas tanto entre la cantidad de libros disponibles en el hogar como la edad de ingreso al nivel escolar y los índices CV, RP, y CIT; así como también entre ICV, CIT y las actividades extraescolares. Se ratifica la necesidad de reconocer los factores socio-ambientales para desarrollar una adecuada interpretación de la producción en el test. En este marco se propone un dispositivo diagnóstico extendido e integrado destinado a captar la compleja trama trazada por la conjunción de capacidades consolidadas a partir de la estimulación que provee el entorno y el desarrollo de habilidades específicas menos influenciadas por los factores ambientales. Palabras clave Capacidad intelectual, WISC-IV, Niñez, Contexto socioeducativo ABSTRACT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SOCIOECONOMIC CONTEXT AND THE WISC–IV INDEXES The objective of these studie is analyze the relationship between maternal education, the number of books in the home, the initial school level and extracurricular activities such as measures of socioeconomic, educational and environmentally with cognitive production WISC-IV level. We worked with 100 children as 6 to 12 who attend public schools in the city of San Luis (Argentina). A sociodemographic survey designed ad hoc and WISC-IV. Relationships between the education level of the mother and production in VCI, PRI,WMI and total IQ of their children were found.At the same time, significant differences between the numbers of books available at home and the age of entry to initial school level with VCI, PRI and IQ scores were found. Only differences for VCI and IQ met according to the embodiment variable artistic extracurricular activities, sports and/or language study, among other. The need to recognize the socio-environmental factors to develop a proper interpretation of the test production is ratified. In this context we propose an extended and integrated diagnostic destined to capture the complex plot by the combination of capacities from the stimulation provided by the environment and the development of specific abilities less influenced by environmental factors.
