¿Qué es lo actual?, ¿Cuáles son las cuestiones que se agrupan bajo las floridas declamaciones del posmodernismo? Desde diferentes campos disciplinares encontramos calificativos como: individualismo, nihilismo, fragmentación, segregación, y la lista continua. También hallamos psicoanalistas que se suman a estas lecturas explicando, desde la caracterización de la época, las presentaciones actuales del malestar. Desde una perspectiva clínica, podría parecer que nos encontramos ante la histórica lucha entre lo que cambia y lo que permanece. Sin embargo esta oposición se diluye rápidamente si recurrimos a la reflexión freudiana según la cual la neurosis insiste en cada época bajo diferentes vestiduras. Realizaremos un breve recorrido exploratorio por algunas concepciones de estos autores, rastreando las nociones y categorías nuevas que postulan. Como correlato clínico presentamos fragmentos de un caso que impresiona como un digno ejemplar de la subjetividad contemporánea y nos suscita un interrogante: ¿Es posible una lectura a partir de las coordenadas clásicas o se hace necesario recurrir a nuevas formalizaciones? El presente escrito se inscribe en el marco del Proyecto de Investigación denominado “Referencia a la función paterna en la caracterización psicoanalítica de las llamadas presentaciones actuales del padecimiento subjetivo”, acreditado por la Secretaría de Ciencia y Técnica de la UNLP. What can be defined as the current thing? Which are the issues gathered under the flowery declamations of posmodernism? Coming from different disciplines we find qualifying words such as: individualism, nihilism, fragmentation, segregation. We also find psychoanalysts that sustain these readings and explain, from the characterization of our age, the current presentations of the uneasiness. From a clinical perspective, it seems that we are in front of the historical fight between what changes and what remains. However, this opposition is quickly diluted if we appeal to the Freudian reflection which states that the neurosis insists in each age under different vestments. First, we will carry out a brief exploratory journey to trace notions and new categories postulated in the field of the psychoanalysis. As a clinical correlato we present a case that impresses as a worthy example of the contemporary subjectivity and it raises a query: Is it possible to read the case from classic coordinates or is it necessary to appeal to newformalizations?
