A lo largo del siguiente trabajo, se intenta rescatar viñetas de la película “El Inquilino” que den cuenta de los efectos de la no inscripción en el Otro del significante el Nombre del Padre. Es a partir de estos efectos que he conjeturado mi hipótesis de un diagnóstico estructural de psicosis y postulado el tipo clínico de paranoia por su dimensión característica de la confrontación con el Otro gozador. Se mantiene a lo largo del trabajo esa hipótesis diagnóstica, siguiendo los efectos sincrónicos de la forclusión del Nombre del Padre a través de los fenómenos elementales como son los fenómenos de significación de significación, las intuiciones delirantes y el delirio mismo.También se han intentado ubicar sus efectos a través de un recorrido diacrónico, a partir del encuentro con un-padre y el estallido de psicosis propiamente dicha. Para finalizar, se intenta dar cuenta del diagnóstico, desde la perspectiva del goce y el empuje a la mujer, ya que esto también da cuenta de la forclusión del nombre del padre y de una operación faltante que regule el goce del sujeto.
