El presente trabajo se encuadra dentro de una investigación mayor perteneciente a la Facultad de Psicología de la U.N.C. Dicha investigación se apoya en la hipótesis exploratoria de que, a diferencia de la generalizada convicción que reina entre autores lacanianos, no habría una continuidad entre el programa de investigación científica (PIC) desarrollado por Freud y las formulaciones de Lacan, sino una ruptura y reformulación de los fundamentos filosóficos subyacentes al PIC freudiano. Este trabajo, particularmente intentará ver si los alcances de la hipótesis de la antedicha investigación se pueden extender a conceptualizaciones de Freud y Lacan respecto a la emergencia del Yo: ¿Existe una continuidad en cómo se plantea este surgimiento del Yo entre estos autores? Para ello, se hará un recorrido bibliográfico por textos relacionados a la temática que puedan echar luz sobre el asunto. Entre las conclusiones, se destaca que las discontinuidades en cómo es teorizada la emergencia del yo, se deben a que ambas concepciones se asientan sobre PIC diferentes. Planteándolo Freud como un hecho que requiere de ciertas condiciones empíricas para producirse, mientras que Lacan lo articulará a la dialéctica hegeliana del reconocimiento del otro y del deseo, hablando de un hecho filosófico. Palabras clave Lacan, Freud, Discontinuidad, Emergencia del Yo Abstract THE EMERGENCE OF EGO, EMPIRICAL OR PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION? This paper fits into a larger research belonging to the School of Psychology at UNC That research is based on the exploratory hypothesis that, unlike the widespread conviction that reigns among Lacanian authors, there wouldn’t be continuity between scientific research program (PIC) developed by Freud and Lacan formulations, but a rupture and reformulation of the philosophical foundations underlying the Freudian PIC. This work, will particularly attempt to see if the reaches of the above research hypothesis can be extended to conceptions of Freud and Lacan regarding the emergence of the Ego: Is there a continuity in arises how this emergence of the Ego among these authors? To do this, a bibliographic review will be done in texts related to the subject that may shed light on the matter. Among the conclusions, it is noted that the discontinuities in how the emergence of the Ego is theorized, are due to both conceptions are based on different PIC. Freud posing it as a fact that requires certain empirical conditions occur, while Lacan articulated the Hegelian dialectic of recognition of the other and the desire, talking about a philosophical fact.
