Arturo tiene catorce años. No habla. Permanece sentado con las manos sobre la falda sin mirar. El trabajo es el armado y el despliegue, durante cuatro años, de un espacio de juego que leo desde el psicoanálisis. El cuerpo de Arturo está en silencio. Es un continuo sin espacio para ningún otro. Luego de muchos encuentros situaciones fortuitas produjeron articulaciones entre él y yo. La primera vez Arturo está haciendo movimientos con el dedo sobre su falda. Cerca y de costado hago movimientos también. Agrando mi recorrido, él lo percibe y modifica su movimiento. Lo agranda. Este modo de acercamiento se establece. De costado, moviendo mis dedos sobre mi falda, encontrando su mirada de reojo. A estas articulaciones las llamo particularidades. Recortan partes en el continuo y articulan nuevas combinaciones. Son cortes en el silencio que Arturo lee dando nuevas respuestas. Empieza a haber dos cuerpos en continuidad. El cuerpo de Arturo se conjuga con el cuerpo del trabajo, es decir con el conjunto de las particularidades que se establecen. El silencio se quiebra, las partes del cuerpo se articulan en el movimiento. El corte hace lugar al fonema. La articulación de los fonemas sitúa el nombre: “ARTURO”. Arturo’s body was silent. It was a continuum with no room for anyone else. After many meetings, fortuitous situations occurred between us. The first time Arturo was making movements with his finger on his lap. I sat down sideways from him and made movements as well. I enlarged my movements, he perceived this and modified his own movements making them bigger as well. This way of approaching him was established. Sitting sideways from him, moving my fingers on my lap, meeting his gaze sideways. I call these articulations particularities. They cut parts in the continuum and articulate new combinations. They are cuts in the silence that Arturo reads giving new answers. There are now two bodies in continuity. Arturo’s body combines with the body of work, i.e. the set of particularities that are established. The silence is broken, the body parts are articulated in motion.
