El siguiente escrito forma parte de un proyecto mayor dedicado al estudio de la cultura y subcultura en instituciones que albergan jóvenes infractores a ley penal (1). Dicho proyecto se propone determinar si la cultura organizacional delimita la modalidad de funcionamiento y comportamiento de aquellos sujetos inmersos en centros de régimen cerrado. En esta oportunidad, analizaremos las características que asumen tanto la violencia institucional (Lewkowicz, 2004) como el sufrimiento psíquico (Kaës, 1989) en este tipo de instituciones, y de qué manera los sujetos inmersos en ellas se encuentran influidos por estas condiciones institucionales, propias de la modernidad tardía (2). This project aims to determine whether the organizational culture defines the mode of operation and behavior of those subjects immersed in closed centers.
