Las intervenciones en Terapia Ocupacional están dirigidas a favorecer la participación en las ocupaciones. El objetivo de este trabajo es comparar el grado de participación comunitaria de los pacientes con diagnostico de ACV anterior y 30 días posterior al alta de rehabilitación. Se trabajo con 10 pacientes que concurrieron entre Septiembre de 2010 y Junio de 2011 al Hospital, utilizando como instrumento de análisis el Perfil de Participación en Actividades del Hogar y Comunitarias (PAR-PRO). Los datos fueron volcados en planilla Excel y analizados a la luz de diversas fórmulas. Los resultados preliminares mostraron un descenso en la participación en las actividades comunitarias, especialmente en aquellas que requieren destrezas de traslado y cognitivas integradas. Se observó que los pacientes (mayoritariamente varones) comenzaron a integrarse en otras actividades incluyendo las domésticas. El estado de salud posterior a un ACV y la participación en actividades comunitarias presentan una estrecha relación. La totalidad de los casos registró un descenso en la participación comunitaria y cambios en las ocupaciones. Se estima importante en futuras investigaciones abordar los múltiples aspectos que pueden influir en ellas para ampliar los conocimientos y pensar diversas modalidades de intervención. The preliminary results showed a decrease of participation in community activities, especially in those that need movement skills and integrated cognitive skills. We observed that male patients began to participate in other activities including housekeeping The health state after stroke and the participation in community activities present a narrow relation. The totality of the cases registered a decrease in the community participation and occupational changes. It is considered important in future investigations to approach the multiple aspects that can influence participation and to think diverse modalities of approaching patients with stroke.
